Autoclave Needed LEDs for Control Panel
Overview
Autoclaves are commonly used in research laboratories, food industries, or clinical settings to sterilize equipment. These systems operate under high pressure and temperature to quickly sterilize components for safe consumption and use. One of our clients is an autoclave manufacturer who needed some assistance with their LED indicators.
Challenge
This customer was looking for an LED indicator for their autoclave machine to illuminate on the device’s external display and control panel. The LED needed to withstand high temperatures and pressures during the autoclave’s sterilization cycle while preventing cross talk between indicators. They also needed their solution to be delivered efficiently and easily installed for quick integration into their autoclave production environment.
Solution
The Bivar LPV Series offered the optimum solution for this client. The rigid light pipe and ZeroLightBleed™ adapter arrived pre-assembled straight out of the box, meeting our client’s need and saving them time. The adapter helped eliminate cross talk between LEDs and was easily installed with a polarity identification stripe. The LEDs are created with UL94-V0 rated materials, enhancing their reliability for use under extreme environments like the autoclave. This all-in-one system met all of our client’s needs, providing appropriate illumination, durability, and installation features.
